Psalm 139 New King James Version (NKJV)

God’s Perfect Knowledge of Man

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

139 O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
3 You [a]comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
5 You have [b]hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.

7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in [c]hell, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall [d]fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;
12 Indeed, the darkness [e]shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

13 For You formed my inward parts;
You [f]covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for [g]I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My [h]frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.

19 Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God!
Depart from me, therefore, you [i]bloodthirsty men.
20 For they speak against You wickedly;
[j]Your enemies take Your name in vain.
21 Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?
22 I hate them with [k]perfect hatred;
I count them my enemies.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
24 And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.

Jesus Calling Daily Devotional June 15

I HAVE LOVED YOU with an everlasting Love. Before time began, I knew you. For years you swam around in a sea of meaninglessness, searching for Love, hoping for hope. All that time I was pursuing you, aching to embrace you in My compassionate arms.

When time was right, I revealed Myself to you. I lifted you out of that sea of despair and set you down on a firm foundation. Sometimes you felt naked—exposed to the revealing Light of My Presence. I wrapped an ermine robe around you: My robe of righteousness. I sang you a Love song, whose beginning and end are veiled in eternity. I infused meaning into your mind and harmony into your

heart. Join Me in singing My song. Together we will draw others out of darkness into My marvelous

Light.

The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying:

“I have loved you with an everlasting love;

I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”

JEREMIAH 31 : 3

I delight greatly in the LORD;

my soul rejoices in my God.

For he has clothed me with garments of salvation

and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness,

as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,

and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Summer Flowers

When the weather is warm
And the sun shines each day
I can smell the honeysuckle
Their yellow flowers in aray

And the gardens of  roses
With their colors on display
Pink and red, yellow, white
Breezes blow their fragrance my way

I like sitting on the grass
Making necklaces and lace
From the white clover flowers
And green stems interspaced

White petunias. peach geraniums
Queen Anne's lace, and purple daisies
Multi-colored small impatiens
Thriving 'neath bright flowering trees

Summer time brings many blessings
Clear blue skies and warm soft breeze
But for me what is greatest
Are summer flowers and flowering trees*

Jesus Calling Daily Devotional June 12th

LET ME HELP YOU get through this day. There are many possible paths to travel between your

getting up in the morning and your lying down at night. Stay alert to the many choice-points along the

way, being continually aware of My Presence. You will get through this day one way or the other.

One way is to moan and groan, stumbling along with shuffling feet. This will get you to the end of the

day eventually, but there is a better way. You can choose to walk with Me along the path of Peace,

leaning on Me as much as you need. There will still be difficulties along the way, but you can face

them confidently in My strength. Thank Me for each problem you encounter, and watch to see how I

transform trials into blessings.

And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.

1 CORINTHIANS 10 : 10

Jesus Calling Daily Devotional June 11th

TRUST ME and don’t be afraid, for I am your Strength and Song . Do not let fear dissipate your energy. Instead, invest your energy in trusting Me and singing My Song. The battle for control of your mind is fierce, and years of worry have made you vulnerable to the enemy. Therefore, you need to be vigilant in guarding your thoughts. Do not despise this weakness in yourself, since I am using it to draw you closer to Me. Your constant need for Me creates an intimacy that is well worth all the effort. You are not alone in this struggle for your mind. My Spirit living within you is ever ready to help in this striving. Ask Him to control your mind; He will bless you with Life and Peace.

“Surely God is my salvation;

I will trust and not be afraid.

The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song;

he has become my salvation.”

ISAIAH 12 : 2

An Instrument of God's Grace

Father in Heaven

Make me an instrument of Your grace

Fill my heart with joy

Compassion for the lonely

Loving to the unloveable

Kind to those who are unkind

Comforting to those who mourn

And healing to those who are ill

Grant me grace to the suffering

To those who long for peace

Who long for healing
