“The Christmas Gift”

Pope Julius declared it, The word "Christmas" began
But all the world knows, It was when Christ was born
For Christ is the reason, We celebrate today
Why we buy all the gifts, And then give them away

There's an angel on top, Of our big Christmas tree
 She watches and listens, Is it His love she’ll see
If we love and we share, With our whole family
Everyone can come home, For this Christmas you see

It is now Christmas Day, And it's not hard to tell
That today is the day, Christ is born--Noel.
