L'Amour de Dieu     (in French and English)     The Love of God

Le fait le plus important de ma vie est l'amour de Dieu. Je sais qu'il m'aime et qu'il t'aime. Je sais que Dieu aime toute sa création, tout comme il aime vous et moi. Il veut le meilleur pour chacun de nous, et il a envoyé son fils Jésus pour nous sauver et nous montrer combien il nous aime.

Je cousais une larme dans la doublure de ma veste ce matin, et je me suis rendu compte que ma vieille veste ne serait plus jamais neuve. Le mieux que je puisse espérer est de stabiliser son état afin que la déchirure ne s'effiloche pas et ne s'aggrave pas. De cette façon, je peux continuer à utiliser la veste pour quelques années de plus. Comme je cousais la larme, j'ai réalisé que la vie est comme cette veste. Nous éprouvons des larmes et parfois la vie semble se défaire. Mais l'amour de Dieu est toujours avec nous, et si nous lui faisons confiance et progressons dans la foi, nous serons victorieux. Un jour nous mourrons, mais la vie ne finit pas quand nous mourrons. Nous allons avoir une nouvelle vie.

 La Bible nous promet qu'un jour tout sera renouvelé. Quand le Christ reviendra, il y aura un nouveau ciel et une nouvelle terre, et nous vivrons dans la paix et le bonheur pour toujours. Apocalypse 21 dans la Bible nous dit: "Et j'ai vu un nouveau ciel et une nouvelle terre: car le premier ciel et la première terre ont disparu ... et il n'y aura plus de mort, ni de chagrin, ni de pleurs, ni il y aura plus de souffrance: car les premières choses sont passées.

Prière pour aujourd'hui: Père céleste, nous sommes très reconnaissants pour ton amour et le don de ton fils Jésus. Puissions-nous vivre chaque jour dans l'espoir d'un avenir meilleur - un avenir rempli d'amour et de paix. Veuillez accepter notre humble gratitude pour votre merveilleux plan de salut. Au nom de Jésus, amen.     

The most important fact of my life is the love of God. I know that he loves me and he loves you. I know that God loves all of his creation, just as he loves you and me. He wants the very best for each one of us, and he sent his son Jesus to save us and to show us how much he loves us.

I was sewing up a tear in the lining of my jacket this morning, and I realized that my old jacket will never be new again. The best I can hope for is to stabilize it's condition so the tear won't unravel and get worse. That way I can continue to use the jacket for a few more years. As I was sewing the tear I realized that life is like that jacket. We experience tears and sometimes life seems to come unraveled. But the love of God is always with us, and if we trust him and move forward in faith we will be victorious. One day we will die, but life doesn't end when we die. We will be given a new life.

 The Bible promises us that one day everything will be made new. When Christ returns there will be a new heaven and a new earth, and we will live in peace and happiness forevermore. Revelation 21 in the Bible tells us: "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away...and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Prayer for today: Father in heaven, we are so very thankful for your love and the gift of your son Jesus. May we live each day in the hope of a brighter future--a future filled with love and peace. Please accept our humble gratitude for your wonderful plan of salvation. In Jesus' name, amen.
