Peace Be With You
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be
called the children of God"
(Matthew 5:9)
The word "blessed" means "happy."
Peacemakers are happy people, for
they know in their hearts that they are doing the right
thing, doing what God
wants them to do. Being called the children of God
means they are close to
God, part of his family. Peace begins at home and
spreads from the family to
The community and to the world. Mother Teresa said that
"Peace begins with
a smile." Start with the little things, a smile, a
greeting, a kind word.
Love never fails, and love will bring peace to
everyone.
Prayer for today: Our gracious Heavenly Father, thank
you for giving us your
peace, and the hope of eternal life. May we remember to
share your love
and peace with others.
And may our lives be filled with joy and happiness.
