Faith, Family, Friends

These three above all else

My life my love my all

The purpose for my birth

Faith in my creator

And in his steadfast love

Led me to my family

And daily leads me on

My family keeps me faithful

My love my life my all

Without them I am lost

They are my only home

And what about my friends

The ones who stand by me

In good times and in bad

Good friends all help me see

The purpose of my life

The reason for all three.

Note: This poem came to me as I awoke this morning and I wanted to share it with my readers. I have submitted it for publication in the Veterans Voices magazine, and I am including it in my newest book of poetry titled, 2020 Poems.
