St. Vincent de Paul

Living and working in Prescott, Arizona has many advantages--the climate of course, averaging 72 degrees yearround-- but also many opportunities to be of service to those in need. I've devoted most of my life to humanitarian organizations which serve the poor and less fortunate, such as Habitat for Humanity, Outreach International, and World Vision, where by God's grace I have been able to raise close to $1 million in donations over the years, I am always sensitive to these kinds of opportunities--always with the understanding that it is my duty and my calling in life.

Today, I want to lift up a great charitable organization that is dedicated to feeding, clothing, housing, and healing individuals and families in our communities who have no where else to turn for help. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul also provides meaningful opportunities for volunteers to serve their neighbors in need with love and compassion. They provide help for people's physical, mental, and spiritual needs. By doing this with care and respect, they show them that they matter and they are beloved children of God.

This morning on the way to the library, I stopped in at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store and made some purchases. All of these funds go to the charity which is run by volunteers. I felt honored and privileged to contribute to this good charity with my meager purchases. The Lord placed this on my heart to share with you, and I am glad. It made my day. Thank you for reading this. Bless you.
